Cook County is faced with a generation of homegrown residents who can not afford a home, provide for their family, and achieve the American Dream. Our campaign has ambitious proposals including Property Tax Rebates for 1st time and longstanding homeowners, reducing red tape to developers to increase supply and reduce home costs, and expanding loan programs for 1st time homebuyers.

The ability to afford and support a family if desired is a right I believe should be provided to every Cook County Family. Through ambitious policy proposals like the Vacant Property Buyback program to turn vacant buildings into Childcare Co-Ops, “Work & Care” Tax Credits for working families, and Property Tax relief for businesses that provided childcare on site, we’ll build a Cook County where families can thrive.

Transportation is the third leg of the stool within our control to lower costs for Cook County families. Our team has creative proposals to achieve this including Micro-Mobility Hubs with bikes and scooters across District 9, subsidizing public transportation for at-risk residence, and investing more into bike paths and sustainable infrastructure through the Climate Equitable & Jobs Act. funds available to the county.
