WE WILL BUILD A THRIVING BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN COOK COUNTY
-
Vacant Property Buyback Program
Through expanding the Land Development Bank and other Community Development Financial Institutions, Cook County can work with developers to buy back vacant properties and warehouses to be turned into childcare facilities, community centers, and other thriving businesses within our communities. Expansion of private-public partnerships to create a thriving and prosperous Cook County is the single greatest tool at our disposal to transform our communities.
-
expanding public-private partnership
Expanding partnerships like Northwest Side Community Development Corporation who provide organizations with technical assistance, or revitalizing retail along transit corridors within the 9th District, are possible through savvy Private-Public Partnerships. Organizations like the Illinois Facilities Fund (IFF), the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, and other economic empowerment engines can be leveraged to create millions in jobs and investment to the 9th District and Cook County.
