In the era of social media, constituents need to be met where they are to receive information on funding and resources available to their household. Kevin Murphy prioritizes an accessible, modern social media approach to meet residents where they are to take advantage of funds like the Home Repairs Assistance fund and other critical lifelines. My goal as commissioner is that every household in District 9 knows who I am and the resources available to them through Cook County.

Kevin Murphy has deep experience building coalitions with community organizations and small businesses operating in his community. Through his “No Wrong Door” initiative, he will empower business owners and centers of influence within District 9 to inform residents on funding, resources, and tools to support their family. The focus of our campaign is making County Information as accessible as possible to residents, and we will work with our business partners to make this a reality.

It is important that we have politicians who meet constituents where they are, and prioritize mobile events and activations to address the blight and issues facing our communities. My office will prioritize mobile commissioner offices, a 24/7 hotline for district residents, and a street team focused on homeless outreach and support to our District’s most underserved residents. This will create a clean, uplifted District 9.
